The Gun

I love this place!

We’ve visited once before when it popped up on a search for ‘Best roasts in East London’ and loved it so much that I couldn’t resist going back.

The main attraction is that the meat is fantastic – offered pink or cooked all the way through – and the vegetables are cooked perfectly.

It’s not the cheapest roast dinner around at about £16 per head but it’s definitely worth it. The first time we went we managed to rack up a £92 bill but that was probably down to drinking three double G&T’s each. This time, for two roasts, two cokes, a bottle of water and two deserts we only managed to spend… £60. Ok – so it’s still £60 on a Sunday lunch but it is just so yummy!

The deserts are also very worth trying – we opted for a banana and date cheesecake with walnuts, and a dark chocolate brownie with peanut cream and ice cream.
