Bill’s Covent Garden

Every time I google “London’s best breakfast” Bill’s pops up but up until now I’d been putting off visiting being somewhat of a chain restaurant snob. I have been missing out!

I went for Bill’s Breakfast for £7.95, which comes with cumberland sausage, fried free range eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, smoked streaky bacon and toast. You can add beans and/or bubble and squeak for an additional £1 or £1.50 respectively. I sneakily swapped my tomatoes for beans to avoid the extra charge :) and opted for scrambled eggs instead.
Alongside this I went for a flat white at £2.45, my other half went for a latte £2.20 and a large freshly squeezed orange juice at £3.50. All three were lovely although I couldn’t tell the difference in taste between the two coffees.
Feeling overly greedy we decided that breakfast is as good an opportunity as any for a desert and therefore ordered the Home-Made Blueberry and Buttermilk Pancakes which came topped with banana, strawberries and maple syrup for £5.95.
The food was really tasty, the staff were nice and I thought the decor was great. Only tiny point – I could have done with a bit more butter on the toast!
